Welcome to the College website.
The College operates as an independent accredited senior school and Registered Training Organisation run by a not-for-profit company supported by the Hunter Valley Training Company and the Maitland/Newcastle Diocesan Catholic Schools Office.
The College specialises in combining the NSW Higher School Certificate with trade training and employment training. Students engage in a minimum of 100 days of workplace learning over 2 years, whilst supported by pastoral care, workplace mentoring, career counselling and tutorial assistance.
The College offers Year 11 and Year 12 students a choice between two trade-training pathways: a Certificate III Australian School-based Apprenticeship or a VET-in-Schools qualification, also at the Certificate III level.
The range of training includes skills shortage vocations such as automotive, electro-technology, metal & engineering and building and construction.
The College operates out of state of the art purpose built facilities, fitted out with industry standard equipment and machinery.

Attend the Hunter Trade College, have an opportunity to commence a school-based apprenticeship or commence a Certificate III in your chosen trade and receive the HSC.
